The Haserot Angel also known as The Angel of Death Victorious, was sculpted by Herman Matzen in 1924. The sculpture sits in Cleveland’s Lake View cemetery as the guardian of the graves of Francis Haserot and family. The sculpture appears to be an angel with an upside down torch. Time and weathering has caused the sculpture of the angel to appear to be crying black tears.
